To be eligible for JNVST Class 6th Admission 2024, students must meet the following criteria:

- Only students from the district where the specific Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is situated can apply for admission.
- Candidates seeking admission should have a birthdate falling between May 1, 2012, and July 31, 2014 (inclusive of both dates).
- Students applying for admission to Class VI through JNVST 2024 should currently be studying in Class V in a government, government-aided, or any other recognized school. Alternatively, they can pursue a ‘B’ certificate competency course from the National Institute of Open Schooling in the same district.
- Those seeking admission under the rural quota must have attended classes 3 to 5 in a government, government-aided, or recognized school located in a rural area.
- Candidates who were not promoted and admitted to Class V before July 31, 2023, are not eligible to apply.
- Each candidate is eligible to appear for JNVST only once.
JNVST Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria for Class 9
Students need to meet the JNVST Class 9 eligibility criteria before they can fill out the application form:

- Candidates currently in class 8 in a government or government-recognized school are eligible for JNV Class 9 admission.
- The applicant must be studying in a school within the same district where the specific Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is located, and where admission is sought.

- To be eligible for JNV Class 9 admission, students must be between 11 to 15 years of age. There is no age relaxation for reserved categories; students must be born between May 1, 2009, and April 30, 2011 (inclusive of both days).
