SSC CHSL 2025: Notification Released, Registration and Exam Dates

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the SSC CHSL 2025 exam annually. The SSC CHSL 2025 exam is designed to recruit eligible candidates for the 10+2 level for the various positions of Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Data Entry Operator (DEO), Postal/Sorting Assistant, and Junior Secretariat Assistant.  
The SSC CHSL 2025 Notification will be released on May 27, 2025, Interested candidates can start their application form registration process from May 27, 2025, to June 25, 2025. The selection process includes two stages: Tier 1 and Tier 2 computer-based examinations.

SSC CHSL 2025

The SSC CHSL (Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Level) Exam is conducted annually to recruit candidates who have passed 12th grade. The total number of vacancies will be announced along with the release of the official notification. This exam evaluates candidates’ knowledge and mental abilities of the candidates

The SSC CHSL 2025  Tier 1 Exam dates will be announced soon by the Staff Selection Commission. The online application process will start on 27th May 2025 and close on 25th June 2025. The Tier 1 will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT).

SSC CHSL 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The Staff Selections Commission has issued the notification related to the SSC CHSL eligibility criteria in detail. Candidates aspiring for the SSC CHSL examination must fulfill the eligibility criteria given by the SSC. If any candidate fails to meet the eligibility criteria will have their form canceled, and he/ she will not be able to sit for the examinations. Candidates must ensure they meet the requirements regarding educational qualifications, age, and physical standards before applying.

Nationality

To be eligible for SSC CHSL 2025, a candidate must be one of the following:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from:
    • Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or
    • East African countries such as Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam, to permanently settle in India.

Educational Qualification

The educational qualification requirements for SSC CHSL 2025 vary depending on the post applied for. The details are as follows:

  • Basic Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 12th from a recognized board or university.
  • DEO (C&AG Office): For the post of Data Entry Operator (DEO) in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG), candidates must have studied Science and Mathematics as their main subjects in Class 12th.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 18 to 27 years of age to apply for SSC CHSL 2025.

SSC CHSL 2025 Exam Pattern

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examination in two stages to recruit candidates for various posts. Candidates preparing for the exam must know the SSC CHSL Exam pattern for each stage. 

SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam Pattern

  • The Tier 1 exam consists of 100 questions carrying 200 marks, divided into four sections:
    • 25 questions from each section, each section worth 50 marks.
  • Duration: 60 minutes.
  • Normalization is applied for multiple shifts.
  • Negative Marking: 0.5 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer.

The updated SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Pattern consists of two sessions:

  • Session I: This session includes multiple-choice questions (MCQs) on the following topics:

SSC CHSL 2025 Selection Process

The SSC CHSL 2025 selection process includes Tier 1, Tier 2, and a Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test (required for specific posts). The final result is based on candidates’ overall performance in the first two tiers.

  • Candidates must qualify in each tier.
