What are Sainik Schools in India?

Sainik Schools are the most prestigious residential Schools in India, administered by the Sainik Schools Society under the Ministry of Defence (MoD). All the Sainik schools in India are affiliated with the CBSE board and prepare students academically, physically, and mentally for careers in the Indian Defence Services. Admissions are only open to the students of class 6 and 9 providing a strong foundation for entry into institutions such as the National Defence Academy (NDA), the Indian Naval Academy (INA), and other officer training academies.

How many Sainik Schools are there in India?

Currently, In India, 33 Sainik Schools are available for Admission at various locations including, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, J and K, Uttar Pradesh (UP), Delhi Jharkhand and many others. Ministry of Defence Partnerships with NGOs, Private Schools, and the State government to start 100 new Sainik Schools under the Sainik School Society.

The primary goal is to establish of youngest candidate for Indian Arm Forces such as the Indian Army and Indian Navy. Sainik School Society provide admission in the 6th and 9th Class into 33 schools based on the All India Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE) which is conducted by the National Testing Agency.

How to take Admission in Sainik School?

Sainik School provide admission to only Class 6 and 9 for both genders. To get Admission into Sainik School, students need to meet with eligibility criteria for the entrance exam. Students need to fill out the online admission form. National Testing Agency conducts the All India Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE) for admission into class 6 and 9 respectively.
