Railway Recruitment Board has officially announced the RRB ALP CBT 2 Examination Scheduled 2025. RRB ALP exam date is rescheduled for 2 and 6 May 2025. 

Earlier, the RRB ALP Exam dates for CBT 2 were scheduled for 19 and 20 March 2025. however the railway board posted a notification on 19 March  2025 that exam will be rescheduled due to technical issues.

The Railway Recruitment Board conducts RRB ALP exam to onboard assistant loco pilots. This year, the RRB ALP CBT 2 Exam is going to be conducted on 2 and 6 May 2025 in multiple shifts. RRB ALP Exam Pattern 2025

The RRB ALP 2025 selection process consists of the following stages:

1. CBT Stage 1
2. CBT Stage 2 (Part A and Part B)
3. CBAT (Computer-Based Aptitude Test)
4. Document Verification

CBT Stage 1

The first stage, CBT 1, includes 75 questions carrying a total of 75 marks. The questions cover Mathematics, Mental Ability, General Science, and General Awareness. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes.

Note: The total number of questions, marks, and duration for CBT Stage I is consolidated under Mathematics, while Mental Ability, General Science, and General Awareness are also part of the exam.

CBT Stage 2:

The second stage of the RRB ALP CBT exam is divided into two parts: Part A and Part B.

• Part A:
  • This section tests candidates in Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and Basic Science and Engineering.
  • It comprises 100 questions with a total duration of 90 minutes.
  • The marks obtained in Part A are crucial for determining eligibility for the next stages and will also contribute to the final selection.
• Part B:
  • Focused on the Relevant Discipline/Trade, this section includes 75 questions to be completed in 60 minutes.
  • Part B is qualifying in nature, meaning candidates must pass this section, but its marks will not be considered for final selection.

RRB ALP Exam Pattern 2025 (CBT Stage 2)

For the CBAT (Computer-Based Aptitude Test) round, candidates will be shortlisted in a ratio of 1:8 based on ALP vacancies for each category and their scores in Part A of the CBT 2 exam. This round will be conducted only in English and Hindi, with no negative marking.

The final selection will be determined using a 70:30 ratio, where:

• 70% of the marks are derived from Part A of the CBT 2 exam.
• 30% of the marks are based on performance in the CBAT exam.
• Conducted in both English and Hindi language.
• No negative marking is applicable.
• Only candidates who pass the CBAT will be considered for inclusion in the RRB ALP merit list.

RRB ALP Qualifying Marks

Candidates must achieve the minimum qualifying marks set by the exam authority to proceed. For the CBAT exam, a minimum score of 42 marks is required to clear the stage. Below are the minimum pass percentages for CBT 1 and CBT 2:
