Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Exam Date 2025

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has announced the entrance exam dates for admission to Class 6 in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas. 

The entrance exam will be conducted in two phases:

The entrance exam is for selecting students for admission to the residential Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across the country. Eligible students who have registered online can appear for the selection test in their respective phases.

NVS Entrance Exam 2025 Class 6

Every year, the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti conducts an admission test called the JNV Selection Test for Class 6 students. 

Students who are eligible to appear for the 2024-25 entrance test need to meet these criteria:

• They must have studied in Class 5 during the 2024-25 school year in any government-recognized school within the same district where they are applying.
• Their date of birth must be between 1st May 2012 to 31st July 2014.   

Important Details about the Test:

• It is an offline pen and paper-based test conducted in English and Hindi languages. 
• The total time given is 2 hours – from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.  
• There are a maximum of 80 seats available per Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. 
• Students will be shortlisted based on their marks and results in the entrance exam.
• The admission test is held to select Class 6 students every year in all the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across India.

JNVST Class 6 Exam Pattern 2025

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti sets the exam pattern for the Class 6 entrance exam.

The question paper has 3 sections:

1. Mental Ability Test
2. Arithmetic Test
3. Language Test

Key details about the JNVST Class 6 exam format 2024:

• Total questions: 80
• Total marks: 100
• Duration: 2 hours

So students taking the JNVST entrance test for admission to Class 6 will have to solve 80 questions divided across the 3 test sections.

The total time given is 2 hours to solve the paper and the maximum marks are 100. The selection will be based on the scores in the entrance test.

JNVST Syllabus for Class 6 2024

The syllabus for the JNVST Class 6 entrance exam 2024 contains three main sections:

1. Mental Ability Test
2. Arithmetic Test
3. Language Test

The Mental Ability section covers topics such as Odd Man Out, Figure Matching, Pattern Completion, and Figure Series Completion which are designed to evaluate the child’s mental acuity. The Arithmetic section comprises key topics like HCF and LCM, Number Systems, Approximation of Expressions, Percentages and their applications. This section tests the mathematical abilities of the candidates. Finally, the Language Test focuses primarily on assessing comprehension skills based on Unseen Passage questions.

Overall, the syllabus aims to gauge the mental sharpness, mathematical skill, and language understanding capacity of young children. Questions under the three sections are curated such that they align with the level and content students are expected to have studied till class 5 as per CBSE and state board curriculum.

JNVST Class 6 Admission Form 2024

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) will open the registrations for Class 6 admissions in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across India in June 2024 for the upcoming academic session 2024-25. The registration process will start on 20th June 2024 on the official NVS websites – navodaya.gov.in and cbseitms.nic.in.

The last date to fill out the online application form and register to appear in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2025 will be August 2024. 

The JNVST 2025 will be conducted by NVS for shortlisting meritorious students for admission to Class 6 in various Jawahar Navodaya Schools in all states and UTs of India for the next academic year. The test is mandatory for gaining entry into prestigious residential schools. The registrations received online up till 31st August 2024(Tentative) will be issued hall tickets to appear in the entrance exam as per their eligibility. All details related to the JNVST 2025 schedule and process shall be intimated through the official NVS sites.

JNVST Class 6 Admit Card 2025

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti will issue the Admit Card for the Phase 1 entrance exam for Class 6 admissions in October 2024 and for Phase 2 in January. It will be available to download from the official website www.navodaya.gov.in.  

Students who will register for the JNV Selection Test 2025 can download their hall ticket using their login details. 

The Phase 2 exam will be conducted on January 2025 for selecting students from non-hilly regions across states. It is the key test for admission into the prestigious Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in Class 6 for session 2025-26.
