RRB ALP Exam Pattern 2024

The RRB ALP Selection Process 2024 comprises three stages: CBT 1, CBT 2, and CBAT.

  • CBT 1: This is the first stage, which involves four sections, to be completed within 60 minutes.
  • CBT 2: The second stage is divided into two parts. Part A consists of 100 questions to be completed in 90 minutes, while Part B has 75 questions related to the relevant trade, to be completed in 60 minutes.

For the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) role, the first stage of the CBT consists of 75 questions covering the following subjects: Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness of Current Affairs. 

Each incorrect answer incurs a penalty of ⅓ mark as negative marking.

RRB ALP Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)

Candidates applying for the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) position must take the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT). To pass the CBAT, candidates must score a minimum of 42 marks in each test battery.

Only candidates who qualify for the CBAT will be considered for the merit list for the ALP role. The merit list is determined by assigning 70% weightage to the marks obtained in Part A of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) II and 30% weightage to the marks from the CBAT.
