SSC CGL 2024: Candidates are advised to mark their calendars as the anticipated release date for the SSC CGL 2024 notification on 11 June 2024. The delay in this notification may be due to pending matters.  The Commission will give applicants one month to fill out the SSC CGL 2024 online applications.  The last day to apply online for the SSC CGL 2024 will be August 2024. The regional websites will provide the SSC CGL 2024 application status in September, with the exam scheduled for October 2024.

The SSC CGL admit card 2024 will be released four days before the applicants’ exam day. Following the exam, the Commission will post the SSC CGL 2024 answer key (tentative) on its official website.

What Is the SSC CGL EXAM?

The SSC CGL (Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level) exam is a highly competitive examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) of India. It’s primarily aimed at selecting candidates for various Group B and Group C posts in ministries, departments, and organizations of the Government of India. SSC CGL 2024 Syllabus

It is expected that the Staff Selection Commission will not change the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) 2024 syllabus in the official notification because the Commission changed it in the 2022 notification. The syllabus of SSC CGL 2024 for all four sections General Intelligence & Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, and English.

Though there are different criteria for each of the posts filled by the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL), the essential eligibility criteria for this exam are as follows.


SSC CGL 2024 – Educational Qualification

Essential Educational Qualifications for various posts include:

  • For Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University and CA/CS/MBA/Cost &  Management Accountant/ Masters in Commerce/ Masters in Business Studies.
  • For Junior Statistical Officer (JSO)- Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University with a minimum of 60% in Mathematics in Class 12th or in any discipline with Statistics as one of the subjects in graduation.
  • For Statistical Investigator Grade-II- Graduation Degree from any recognized University with Economics Statistics or Mathematics as a compulsory or Elective Subject.
  • For Research Assistant in National Human Rights Commission (NHRC)- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute with a minimum of one year of research experience in any recognized university or recognized Research Institution.
  • For Remaining posts- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University.

3. Nationality- The Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) Eligibility Criteria also include the nationality of the candidates. The details regarding candidates’ citizenship are as follows.

A candidate must meet one of the following criteria:

  • (a) A citizen of India.
  • (b) A citizen of Nepal.
  • (c) A citizen of Bhutan.
  • (d) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Candidates falling under categories (b), (c), and (d) above must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

SSC CGL 2024 Notification

The Staff Selection Commission is expected to release the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) 2024 notification in June. The Commission will release the official notification online only.
