Sainik Schools are the most prestigious residential Schools in India, administered by the Sainik Schools Society under the Ministry of Defence (MoD). All the Sainik schools in India are affiliated with the CBSE board and prepare students academically, physically, and mentally for careers in the Indian Defence Services. Admissions are only open to the students of class 6 and 9 providing a strong foundation for entry into institutions such as the National Defence Academy (NDA), the Indian Naval Academy (INA), and other officer training academies.
